My grandfather, Jiddoo, was awarded the '6 who care' award this past year for his work with the maine Children's Cancer Program. The award was presented by the local news station and was broadcasted a couple months ago.

so, my last day of work was yesterday. It was kind of a sad time... the whole internship has been one of the best experiences of my life and i have learned and met so many awesome people. thursday afternoon, the dept took me out to lunch and gave me my parting gifts, cards, goodbyes, etc... it felt so weird saying bye to everyone, knowing that i wont be working with them anymore. such is life though. i will be back to visit.
on the positive side, im pretty dang excited to start my new job in the studios. i think working with park merchandise will be far more exciting, and i should be pumping out the portfolio pieces soon.
even better news still, i am home for christmas now. the holiday season in florida was kinda lame, so i am officially designating this next week as my own christmas season. i spent the entire day with the family in portland, completing the traditional after christmas shopping... and with two feet of snow, im sure this whole week at home is gonna be fun times.
here is the last project i completed at work. it is an events piece; the sticker will be placed on these 'party in the box' things. although the whole idea of a party being packed in a box for someone's future enjoyment may sound a little weird, i thought the artwork turned out cool.

for the record, my days here with andrew were awesome.
between going to the parks, visiting to the tattoo parlor, and watching MewithoutYou / Thrice / Brand New, i think i had one of the best weekends ever created.
im coming to CU thursday afternoon.
i cant wait to see colin get married;
and to ride in nicole's new car;
and to eat HaHa's with joy;
and to sip imported beer with friends.

update on the interview:
I got a call from WDW Recruiting last night. They offered me a position at Disney Design Group starting January 11.
I accepted.
